Von Braun Scholars is a comprehensive learning experience designed to motivate, captivate, and engage students in the process of learning. The VBS approach is based on the philosophy that “teaching and learning are two distinctly separate but interdependent processes. Educators may teach, however students will choose to learn only if inspired to do so. Therefore, by providing educators the means to teach and students the inspiration to learn, the process of education will flourish.”

By applying the concept of thematic motivational learning, VBS uses aviation and space to develop a host of learning material, activities, projects, and resources designed to challenge and inspire individuals to excel in mathematics, sciences, technologies and the arts.Through VBS, participants have access to a world of exciting, challenging, and inspiring learning resources. Participants gain access to VBS resources through two approaches:
