Destiny Classrooms
are elite centers of knowledge that provide an atmosphere of learning
through excitement, adventure and challenge.
The NASA
Destiny Classroom is
where educators endeavor to motivate, captivate and engage their
students in the process of learning. NASA
Destiny Classrooms
connect students, educators, administrators, parents, and community
partners in the learning process, providing a fun and successful
learning environment.
The NASA
Destiny Classroom is
uniquely designed to help educate students in their required courses of
study while greatly enhancing the quality and excitement of instruction.
The NASA
Destiny Classroom
program provides participating educators with a dynamic academic package
consisting of units, lesson plans, projects, resources, and educator
training, all geared toward mathematics, sciences, technologies and the
arts. Thematically based on
aviation and space, the NASA
Destiny Classroom
program of study is strongly aligned with the Alabama course of study in
not only the critical areas of mathematics, sciences, and technologies
but across the curriculum as well.
Incorporating
the StarQuest,
FlightQuest,
ACE,
GEAR,
ACTION
and My Destiny
programs into its
design, the NASA
Destiny Classroom is
the centerpiece of the von Braun Scholars (VBS)
education series. The
NASA Destiny Classroom
provides a series of learning experiences designed to challenge students
to personally excel in mathematics, sciences, technologies and the arts.
Additionally
the NASA Destiny
Classroom has
incorporates a Community Partnership program that provides special
assistance to the educator. Community
Partners work with the classroom to demonstrate the importance of
education and to provide support for the program.
